Motorhead’s Lemmy is not shy about his affinity for fascist fashion, however the German government is less inclined to approve of his taking style tips from Hitler’s tailor, and has launched an investigation into the singer’s wardrobe choices. Lemmy, who rocked a Nazi cap in a photoshoot for a German newspaper promoting his upcoming performance in Aurich, Germany, is now under investigation by the German government for violating articles 86 and 86a of German penal code, which state it is illegal to wear Nazi paraphernalia or anti-constitutional propaganda (story continues below).
Lemmy who claims he’s not a rascist much less a fascist, and doesn’t condone either whatsoever, loves to rock the fascist fashion because he thinks it “looks good.” He also admits he has an affinity for collecting uniforms from all the Axis countries.
Whether or not Lemmy actually lands in a German jail over his fascist fashion choice is still to be determined. Either way, his band Motorhead have a new album coming out August 26.
